The open weave braiding of this cable sleeving simply expands over the cables and components and contracts to provide a tight-fitting cover. The open weave of the sleeve also allows you to examine the wires underneath. Braided sleeving protects wires and cables from damage caused by abrasion from sharp edges, high impacts, and vibration. Cable sleeving, depending on the material used, also gives the cable protection from chemicals and solvents.
